(Investment Stratigies Shaped by Recent Market Performances)

If I'm reading this article correctly, it seems that the Vanguard study results were entirely opposite to your thoughts as you put in the first couple of paragraphs.

The younger generation investors (40 and below) who set up their accounts in 2008 or after are (far) more conservative (not more aggressive) than their counterparts who established Vanguard accounts prior to 2008. The proportions of 100% equity holding are ~1/7 and 1/3, respectively. It does show recency effect (one of countless human behavioral biases), and it would be interesting to see if either group of investors add any bonds to their portfolios over subsequent years.

Thanks for your reply, I might have read the article a bit too literally.

Moving to a different subject, the market volatility in February and March 2020 has provided investors great opportunities to realistically evaluate our risk tolerance and stress test the robustness of portfolios. We might find we can stomach a bit more/less risk than we originally thought or expected, hence some fine tune to asset allocation decisions may be in order. If we waded through the turmoils with confidence that our holdings should be able to weather market ups and downs and eventually achieve our goals, we stay the course.
